Ouai Stéphane
Ouai Stéphane (literally Yeah Stephane) is an electronic music project based around the construction of DIY instruments and controllers, mostly made from everyday objects (clock, weighing machine, drying rack...), with a simple message : everyone can make music with anything. Musically groovy and powerful, as much inspired by Kylie Minogue and Vengaboys than Steve Reich and Chemical Brothers, this French rising artist is currently in the highlight of several European music festivals. His uncommon funny and nihilistic communication is an ode to sincerity and anti-heroism, throughout the idea of democratizing electronic music in a fun and pop way.
Apart from his unique public image, his rare producer and musicologist skills gained at the prestigious Trinity College in Dublin led him to host a thesis on "Audio Mosacing and Concatenitive Synthesis". Alongside a second EP and several gigs around France, he gives electronic music classes in disadvantaged schools around Paris via the SACEM program "Fabrique Electronique" and hosts masterclasses for young producers and artists.
